THIRD SUNDAY THEOLOGICAL CONDUNDRUMS...
This series of messages came from soliciting questions from the congregation. Of the 15 or so submissions, we voted on five. Between January and June these will be addressed on the third Sunday of the month. Enjoy the journey. These will probably raise more questions than they answer...

THE PROPHET ISAIAH
Following up on Advent, we are looking at Isaiah 40-66 for the next six months (with a few diversions on the third Sunday of the month). Isaiah 40-55 speaks to those in the midst of the storm of Exile, offering them a vision of the future where God restores. Isaiah 56-66 speaks of the final restoration of God,  the hope of the new heavens and earth, of Creation restored to design specs.

LONGINGS OF THE HEART: ADVENT 2013
Advent is the season in which we explore the longings and expectations of the human heart. The hope, peace, joy, love, and personal presence supplied through Jesus Christ. His coming to earth as a human baby is but one aspect of Advent. While we celebrate His birth, His first arrival in humility, we anticipate His return in exaltation.  As we journey through this season, we are following the Scripture readings provided by the Revised Common Lectionary, and focussing our study time on the readings from the prophet Isaiah.
